Her father, Sten, is a media consultant, and still lives in Stockholm with Gabriella’s mother, Valeria. Personal – Born Dec. 12, 1978, in Stockholm, Sweden, Jakobsson has yet to decide on a major at Colorado. She says she chose to come to Colorado because of its academic, as well as its athletic, reputation, and because “it is so beautiful” in Boulder. Jakobsson was introduced to the University of Colorado by a friend, Johan Elliot, who recommended it; Elliot is now a professional golfer, and Jakobsson, similarly, has eventual plans for a career as a golf professional. Her hobbies include watching all kinds of sports. She was also recruited by the University of Hawai’i.
