2005-06: Malcolm was poised to go out on a strong note, completing her best season as a senior in the fall of 2005. She had a career-best 79.08 stroke average in four tournaments and 12 rounds. Seven of her rounds were in the 70s. However, she left the team after the fall season.
2004-05: Malcolm finished the year with an 80.67 stroke average in a career-high 25 rounds over nine tournaments. Sixteen of her rounds counted towards the team's score and she had seven rounds in the 70s. Her season-best round of 73 came in the second round of the Mountain View Classic when she shot 78-73-77--228 to tie for 43rd place in March.
2003-04: After two tournaments and four rounds as a freshman, Malcolm played in eight and 21, respectively, as a sophomore. She christened her sophomore season with a career-low 71 in the opening round of the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic in Fort Collins, Colo. A week later she finished a season best 31st at the Ron Moore Women’s Intercollegiate with an 82-81-163, matching her career low 36-hole score. She played in a career best eight tournaments, just one as an individual, including four in the spring.
2002-03: Malcolm played as an individual in two fall tournaments, finishing 29th at the Highlands Ranch Women’s Intercollegiate (80-83-163) and 62nd at CU’s own Heather Farr Memorial with a collegiate best opening round 79-85-164, respectively.
High School: Malcolm’s prep career culminated in Chaparral winning a third-straight state championship her senior year as the Firebirds were riding a 36-match unbeaten streak. Chaparral was also the regional champion from 1998-01. As a sophomore, she was a second-team all-state performer and was first team as a junior before being named the 4A Player of the Year her senior season at Chaparral. She sliced 16-19 strokes off her freshman to senior strokes per average, as her strokes per her senior year was an impressive 2 to 4-over par. Malcolm also lettered one year in track. She was also recruited by Kansas State, Michigan State, Gonzaga, Boston University and Boston College. During the summer she finished first (78 & 76) at the PJGT and IJFT (80 & 74) and third (82-76) at the JGAA in Mesa City, Ariz. She also played in the US Am Qualifier in Superstition, Mont., and shot 78, her identical round at the Heather Farr Qualifier at the Grayhawk (Ariz.) G.C.
Other: She qualified, and finished second, for the Publinks in Phoenix with a 74 this summer. She also shot an 81-82-163 at the Publinks in Palm Coast, Florida. She qualified for Scottsdale’s own Heather Farr Tournament Qualifier and shot under for the first time (69-72) on her home course, Gainey Ranch.

In The Classroom: Malcolm is a kinesiology major at Colorado and has eclipsed the 3.0 gpa mark twice. would like to pursue a career as a doctor after college.
Personal: Jessica Taylor Malcolm was born Feb. 27, 1984 in Phoenix. She is Roger and Stacy Malcolm of Scottsdale’s oldest daughter. She has an 18-year-old brother, Luke. Very active in Scottsdale community service, she was the recipient of the Presidential Community Service Award her sophomore and junior years, was an All-Star Community Service Club member and worked at Teen Life Line, a suicide prevention phone line. She and enjoys hiking, travel and spending with friends.
