1994-95 – She shot a 92 in her only round of competition at CU at the Rockies Challenge. She tragically passed away after a car accident on Nov. 12, 1994.
High School – Lettered two times in golf at Fort Collins, where she played on the boys’ team and her coach was her father, John Gausman. She owned a stroke average for nine holes of 42.5 as a senior, when she finished fourth in the state high school championship meet. Her best competitive career score was an 80, and her best nine-hole effort was a 37. She also lettered three times in basketball and twice in soccer, where she was a two-time second-team All-Northern Conference performer.
Other – She qualified to play in the first flight of the 1994 CWGA Match Play Championship, her first amateur competition.
Personal – Born March 28, 1976, in Kremmling, Colo. She has taught Spanish to second-graders and has worked as a volunteer at Hopi and Navajo Indian reservations in Arizona. Father (John) played baseball at Northern Colorado. She is undecided on her major at CU, but in enrolled in CU’s School of Arts & Sciences. Hobbies include reading, making jewelry and poetry. In high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society and earned Academic All-State honors in golf, soccer and basketball.
