1995-96 – Did not compete for the Buffs.
High School – Lettered three times for coach Ron Uhlir and the Boulder H.S. girl’s golf team, a career which also included two appearances at the Colorado State Girls’ High School Championships as a junior and senior. Earned first-team All-Centennial league honors as a junior and senior, as well as All-State accolades her final two seasons (honorable mention as a junior and first-team as a senior). She was named Boulder’s “Panther of the Month” in April of 1995 for her exploits on the links, and also won the “Panther Excellence” award in the spring of 1995. She placed 10th in the state tournament as a junior.
Other – Vasquez also earned three letters in softball as a center fielder, earning All-Centennial League honors as a junior and senior and an All-State honorable mention as a senior.
Personal – Born Dec. 8, 1976, in Longmont, Vasquez will major in mathematics at CU. She earned an academic letter from B.H.S. during her senior year. Vasquez was recruited by Mesa State, but wanted to stay close to her family.
