High School: Budge's Marist High School teams won five consecutive Oregon state championships between 1997 and 2002. Budge was a first-team all-league player as a junior and repeated that honor as a senior while adding 3A all-state recognition as a senior. She shaved 34 strokes off her per round average between her freshmen (115) and senior (81) seasons. The biggest moment of her high school career was when her team came back to win from behind by 30 strokes after the first day to win the state championships by nine strokes as a junior.

Best Round In Competition: 79 at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Redmond, Ore., at the Oregon State Athletic Association State Championship. Her best score at her home course (Eugene C.C.) is a 75.

In The Classroom: Budge is a business major at CU.

Personal: Born in Eugene, Ore., Megan Elizabeth Budge is the daughter of Hamilton and Julia Budge of Eugene. She is the older sister of 12-year-old Molly. A third-generation athlete, as her paternal grandfather played football at Stanford, her maternal grandfather was a football player at Notre Dame, and her father was a lacrosse player at Stanford. She would like to run her own business after college. She has logged in excess of 250 community service hours including a coordinator's role in a benefit for the Children's Miracle Network. She also enjoys figure skating and skiing. Budge was also recruited by Oregon and Pacific University.
