2006-07 (sophomore): Played eight games ... Was one of four non-scholarship student-athletes ... Started one game (Colorado State, Dec. 9) becoming only the second walk-on in 11 years to start a game since Jamie Miller (Nebraska, Feb. 28, 1996) ... Averaged 0.5 points with a personal-best four points against Air Force (Nov. 18) ... Saw a career-best 18 minutes in Big 12 Tournament against Texas Tech (Mar. 8) with two rebounds and two assists.

 

2005-06 (freshman): Played in three games averaging 1.3 points a game ... His scoring average was better than three seniors on the team ... Was a perfect 2-of-2 from the free throw line, in addition to one steal and one rebound ... Scored four points with one steal in three minutes against Mercer (Dec. 22) ... Also played home games against Savannah State (Jan. 3) and Baylor (Jan. 18).

 

ACADEMICS: College major is business ... Was accepted into the Leeds School of Business ... Fall 2006 Commissioners Honor Roll.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four years ... Member of a pair of California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) titles ... Junior year also won league title ... Senior season was the starting point guard averaging nine points, seven rebounds, five assists that went 27-5 ... Earned first-team Sera League honors; second team All-C.I.F. ... Averaged seven points a game as a junior on a team that went 29-4 ... Also earned scholar athlete award accolades during his senior year.

 

PERSONAL: Born Chase Andrew Perkowski on October 15, 1986 ... Son of Erik and Karen Perkowski ... Is the youngest of four children, has two older brothers, Alex and Luke (masters degree at CU); sister, Brittney, played soccer at the United States Air Force Academy; mother played tennis at U.S.C. ... Lists beating high school rival, Mater Dei, ranked No.23 nationally by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds, five assists ... Future aspirations include going to law school ... Enjoys surfing and water skiing ... Did not play basketball his sophomore high school year due to knee surgery (out 11 months).
