CU Club Team:Â She enrolled at Colorado in the fall of 1994. Matsumoto was another member of Colorado's national championship winning club soccer team.
High School: A three-year letterwinner at Iolani High School, Honolulu, Hawaii, Matsumoto was coached by Jeff Moses. She was a two-time Hawaii first team all-star selection (her junior and senior years) and served as her team's co-captain during her senior campaign. Iolani was the Interscholastic League of Honolulu champion each of her three years on varsity, and won the state championship her sophomore year. She starred for the Kuhilani soccer club, claiming the Hawaii Youth Soccer Association title each of her three years with the squad and was the Kuhilani captain during the 1993-94 season. Matsumoto even had something left over for her high school track, basketball and tennis teams.
Personal: Majoring in business, she was born February 16, 1976, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her parents are Stewart Matsumoto and Linda Buck of Honolulu, and her full name is Elizabeth Reiko Matsumoto.
