Junior (1996): Quintella made 10 appearances and five starts as a defender. She attempted four shots.

High School: Earned four letters in soccer at Amador Valley High School and was coached by Mike Milton. Quintella was recognized by her team as best all-around player following her senior season and was also honored as an honorable mention (junior) and second-team (senior) all-state selection. She was also named her team's defensive Most Valuable player after her junior year. Four high school teammates currently play Division I soccer on teams across the nation. Quintella also played at the state level in the Olympic Development Program.

Personal: Majoring in environmental studies and biology, she was born March 5, 1976, in Bakersfield, Calif. She plans an eventual career in environmental consulting or water resource management. Her parents are Bob and Lisa Quintella of Pleasanton, Calif. Quintella was drawn to Colorado by "the mountains, the people and all the outdoor activities to choose from." She played with Colorado teammate Amy Siegel in high school. Her full name is Claire Elizabeth Quintella.
