Also coached with Sanchez at Mesa Community College
Has also coached Skyline High School (Mesa, Ariz.) and Chandler High School (Ariz.)
Was Region Coach of the Year at both high schools and won three straight NSCAA National Academic Awards at Chandler

Education

Played at Mesa C.C. under Sanchez where they were ranked as high as second in the nation
Transferred to Grand Canyon, helping the team to No. 2 national ranking
Earned his bachelor’s in physical education from Ottawa (Ariz.) University in 2003 and completed his master’s in physical education from Arizona State in 2008
