Michael Lawson is in his first year as Colorado's soccer team manager. He brings extensive soccer experience to the Buffaloes from his youth and high school days.

Lawson was a four-year letterwinner and two-year team captain of the C.E. Jordan High School team in Durham, N.C. As a senior, he was named first team all-region. He also lettered in baseball.

Lawson played club soccer for 11 years and was the Triangle United Soccer Association 95 Gold team captain. In 2013, he led Triangle United to a USYS Region 3 championship and an appearance in the national tournament.

He was born on May 20, 1996, and is a native of North Carolina. Lawson is majoring in integrative physiology with a minor in business at CU.
