FRESHMAN (2006): DuChene made three appearances totaling 26 minutes as a freshman. She saw 13 minutes of action against No. 6 Texas A&M and Texas Tech, and came on in the 90th minute of a 3-2 win against No. 11 Texas A&M in the semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament.
HIGH SCHOOL: DuChene was a three-year letterwinner for coach Kieran Monaghan’s Minnetonka High School Skippers. As a senior, the Skippers were 10-7-3, with Duchene earning Classic Lake All-Conference honors and captaining her team to a third place finish in the state. Her junior year she earned honorable mention All-Conference honors, as her team went 12-2-3. She plays for the Tsunami Sota club team and coach Danny Storlien. They won the State Cup championships in 2004 and 2005, making the Region II semifinals in 2005. Her Tsunami Rengo team won the 2003 State Championship. She was on the Minnesota state ODP team from 2001-04. She also lettered in track as a freshman, and competed for two years for the Nordic ski team at her high school.
IN THE CLASSROOM: DuChene is a Business Marketing major at Colorado.
PERSONAL: Kelly DuChene was born October 6, 1987 in St. Louis Park, Minn. She is the daughter of Jim and Sue DuChene of Chanhassen. She has two older sisters, Lisa (25) and Sara (21). She has volunteered at a nursing home and also as youth soccer coach.
