Junior (1999): She did not appear in any games after tearing her ACL during the spring.
 
USF - Sophomore: Saw game action in nine matches, notching one assist and two shots during the season.
 
USF - Freshman: Played in 13 matches for the Lady Dons, earning six starts as a freshman. Tallied two assists, both coming in a 5-1 win over Hawai'i.
 
High School: Sanders lettered all four years at Denver South High School under coach Peter McGahey. As a senior, she was named to the honorable mention all-state squad, as well as her team's most valuable player as a senior. As a junior she earned second-team all-state honors, as well as earning the MVP nod from her peers. As a sophomore and also as a freshman, Sanders was named honorable mention all-state, first team all Denver Prep League, as well as high school MVP, an honor she earned all four years at South. She lists her top high school game as when she scored on a direct kick against a league rival to win the league. Another top game was when her Littleton United club side, coached by Hossein Kazami won the prestigious Pikes Peak Invitational.

Sanders, and she was born on November 15, 1978 in Denver. She is majoring in philosophy and journalism at Colorado. Her hobbies include cross-stitch and BASE jumping.
