Ariel Gebhardt

Ariel Gebhardt (formerly Turner) is in her second season as a volunteer assistant at the University of Colorado, joining the staff in September of 2017.

Gebhardt was a standout volleyball player at Purdue from 2009-12. In that time, she accumulated 1,906 kills, 1,020 digs, 75 aces and 302 total blocks. As a senior, she was third nationally with 5.46 points per set and was sixth in kills per set (4.84).

During her time with the Boilermakers, Gebhardt earned several awards. She was a two-time AVCA All-American, earning first team honors in 2011 and second team honors in 2012. Also in 2011, she was the Big Ten Player of the Year and the Purdue Female Athlete of the Year. She was a two-time Unanimous All-Big Ten Selection (2011, 12) and was a Senior CLASS Award finalist (2012).

She also excelled in the classroom and was named the 2012 Academic All-American Player of the Year. She was named to the Academic All-America First Team in 2012 and was a second team member in 2011. The 2012 Academic All-District V First Team selection was tabbed to the Academic All-Big Ten team three times (2010-12).

After graduating Purdue in 2013 with a bachelorās degree in mechanical engineering, she went on to play professionally in France and Germany. She was the top scorer in the French League during the 2014-15 season and helped her team to the France Vice Championship (2013-14).

Gebhardt, a 2009 Mountain Vista graduate, is pursuing a masterās degree in Areospace Engineering and is expected to graduate in 2018.
