Jeff Ham is in his first year as a volunteer assistant coach for the Colorado volleyball team.
Ham has been coaching volleyball since 1995. He was a head coach and an age group coordinator for the South Shore Juniors in League City, Texas from 1995-2004, helping to build the club from two teams to 35 during his tenure.
From 2004-2010, Ham coached for the Texas Tornados Volleyball Club in Houston, becoming a Training Director and Setting Coach from 2007-2010. He moved on to become one of two Head Training Coaches at Houston Juniors Volleyball Club in 2011 and coached there until 2014.
He also has experience at the collegiate level coaching from 1998-2007 at San Jacinto College. He was an assistant during most of his time at SJC, but did spend one season (2001) as the head coach, accumulating a record of 25-14. Ham was also the recruiting coordinator as well as setting coach while at SJC.
Ham attended the business school at University of Colorado (1993-1995) and played for the CU men’s club volleyball team. He earned a degree in health and human performance from University of Houston in 2003.
Ham married his wife, Rachel, in July 2014. The couple is expecting their first child in April 2015.
