Alec Roussos serves as Deputy Athletic Director for Administration at the University of Colorado Boulder, a position he assumed in Spring 2025 following an 11-year rise from summer intern to senior executive within one of college athletics' most high-profile and rapidly evolving programs.

A member of the Athletic Department's Executive Leadership Team, Roussos carries one of the broadest portfolios in the department - overseeing NIL strategy and revenue sharing, Equipment Operations and serving as Football Sport Administrator, a role he has held since the 2022 season. He leads coaching contract negotiations, directs non-conference scheduling, serves as the department's liaison to Learfield's Buffalo Sports Properties, and plays a central role in the day-to-day strategic management of the Athletic Department. His tenure reflects a rare combination of cross-functional depth and deep institutional knowledge built over more than a decade in Boulder.

While Roussos leads the overall strategy for both revenue sharing and above cap endeavors, he is also Fernando’s Lovo right hand when it comes to new and emerging sponsorship opportunities and revenue generation. Working concurrently with Lovo, Roussos vets and directs conversations on industry trends in areas such as department structure, third party funding, naming rights opportunities, emerging revenue streams, and more. Roussos plays a major role in the future planning of Colorado Athletics and, in conjunction with Athletic Director Lovo, provides guidance on best practices around the country.

Roussos's journey at CU began in 2014 as a summer intern - a foundation that shaped his deep institutional knowledge and commitment to the program. He served as Special Projects Assistant in the AD's Office (2016 - 2019), was appointed Chief of Staff and Director of Operations (2019), elevated to Assistant Athletic Director of Administration and Chief of Staff (2021), and promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Administration and Chief of Staff (2022) before ascending to his current role. Throughout his tenure, he has led the department's Strategic Plan, directed the Athletic Director's Office research team, and served as the primary departmental liaison to Colorado's NIL collectives.

Roussos holds a Master of Business Administration from CU Boulder's Leeds School of Business (2019) and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from McGill University (2016), where he was a two-time team captain and two-time national champion with the men's lacrosse team. A Colorado native from Golden, he graduated from Park City High School in Utah. Roussos is married to the former Kennon Krieger and enjoys golf and time with family and friends.
