Smith joined the Buffaloes in April of 2023. She will handle all aspects of film for individual player and team development, while handling year-round camp operations.

Smith comes to Colorado having spent the 2022 season as an assistant coach at Midwestern State (DII). She also has served in an assistant coach role at Sam Houston State (2019-21), Angelina College (NJCAA) and Cisco College (2014-15).

Smith helped build both the men’s and women’s programs at Blinn College, serving as the head coach for both the men’s and women’s teams. In her first season, she led the men to six wins and an NJCAA Region XIV semifinal appearance while also guiding the women to four wins.

Smith started her playing career at Cisco College (2009-11), where she was captain and earned All-Conference honors in both seasons. She closed her collegiate career with two years at Lubbock Christian, earning her bachelor’s degree in exercise science in May 2013.
