FOUR-POINT SWING DOOMS BUFFS AGAINST NO. 16 TEXAS A&M

BOULDER ? Colorado had game one against Texas A&M and were nearing a 2-0 lead when a four-point swing changed the momentum, and eventually the outcome, as the No. 16 Aggies claimed a 25-30, 30-28, 30-26, 30-21 Big 12 Conference win over the Buffaloes Wednesday night at the Coors Events Conference Center.

The Buffaloes came out solid in the first game recording 17 kills and holding Texas A&M to a .182 hitting percentage. The Aggies had just 15 kills on 44 attacks with seven errors.
“We've got to be able to make plays,” CU head coach Pi'i Aiu said. “We came out strong but Texas A&M scored the last four points (of game two) and on three of those points they (Texas A&M) didn't have to do a thing. Volleyball is always a game of momentum and tonight A&M took it in game two and ran with it.”
Texas A&M took control of the final two games. Blocking was key for the Aggies as they finished with 18 team blocks, the highest total given up by CU in 2004.
