Women's Golf in 18th Place at Kent Youel Invite

MANOA, Hawai'i - The University of Colorado women's golf team struggled to an 18th place finish here Tuesday at the Kent Youel Invitational, hosted by the University of Hawai'i-Manoa. The Buffs shot a 317-330-647 in the first two rounds of play and trail the leaders, USC, who are at +12 with a 294-294-588.
Lindsay Senger was the top Buffalo golfer on the day, shooting a two-over par 74 in the morning round, her best round of the fall season thus far and putting her in 10th place after one. She could not keep her game going in the afternoon round, and finished with an 84 in the second round for a 158, good for a tie for 40th.
Senger was the only golfer under 80 on the day. Senior Maria Persson-Gulda and junior Hannah Hoch swapped scores, as Persson-Gulda shot 80-81-161 and Hoch went 81-80-161 through two rounds. They are tied for 61st place.
Freshman Lindsay Caljouw saw her greatest struggles in her young career here, opening with an 82 and closing with an 85 for a 167, tied for 88th. Lindsay Koth is tied for 95th after her 88-86-174 outing.
The Buffs tee off for round three on Wednesday morning at 7:30 HST, about 11:30 MST at the Kapolei Golf Course.
