MBB Wraps Exhibition Play With 78-51Win Over Regis

BOULDER ? The University of Colorado men's basketball team broke open a five-point half time lead scoring 50 second half points to defeat Regis University, 78-51 Saturday night at the Coors Events Center.
Senior forward Chris Copeland led the Buffs with a team-high 14 points and topped all players under the basket grabbing seven rebounds. Senior guard Jayson Obazuaye followed with 12 points and six boards.

The Buffaloes broke open their five-point half-time lead with a 15-3 run (5-of-5 field goals) over the next four minutes for commanding a 43-26 advantage.
Regis was led by Nick Winder with 15 points. The Rangers shot 39.6 percent (19-of-48) including a disappointing 3-of-20 from behind the arc.
"Hopefully these two exhibition games have prepared us for the regular season,” said head coach Ricardo Patton. “We saw some good things and some things we need to work on.”
