Sophomore Richard Roby hit four three-pointers and led the Buffs with a game-high 15 points. Chris Copeland added 14 points, while Andy Osborn and Dominique Coleman also hit double-digits with 11 and 10 points respectively. Senior Marcus King-Stockton played strong under the basket leading all players with 12 rebounds.
“I thought this was a good first test,” said head coach Ricardo Patton. “It served its purpose, which was to start playing teams other than ourselves. Some things we need to get better at, and I think we will, but it was a good first test.”
The British Columbia-based team playing their third game in as many days kept the game evenly matched, only trailing by three points at the end of the first half. The Buffaloes turned things around in the second when they raced out to a 49-31 advantage through the first five minutes using an up-tempo style of play.
The Buffs jumped out to their biggest lead of the game holding a 25-point advantage of 69-44 with just under five minutes to play.
