LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- Charles Richardson Jr. scored 10 points in the first half to pace Nebraska, which opened up a 20-point halftime lead, then turned back a mid-second half Colorado charge to take a 93-77 win Wednesday.

Colorado (17-7, 7-6 Big 12) made just three of its first 20 shots as Nebraska (17-9, 7-6 Big 12) took a 25-7 lead on Marcus Perry's 3-pointer with 6:59 left in the first half.

The Buffaloes cut the lead to 11 at 30-19. But a pair of Richardson free throws and his 3-pointer triggered a 13-4 half ending Nebraska run that made the score 43-23 at the break.

Nebraska dominated the game at both ends of the floor in the first half. The Huskers hit 54 percent of their shots and were 12-of-14 from the free-throw line. Colorado shot just 24 percent in the first half.

Nebraska doubled up on Colorado with Jamel White's 3-pointer that made the score 54-27 with 15:51 remaining. Nebraska's largest lead of the night was 29 at 62-33.

Colorado mounted a furious challenge midway through the second half, outscoring Nebraska 18-5 to cut the lead to 16. But Nebraska countered with a 7-0 run of its own to push the lead back to 23 with 7:30 left. Colorado never got closer than 18 until the final minute of the game.

Nebraska hit 53 percent of its shots in the game compared to 35 percent for the Buffaloes. The Huskers outrebounded Colorado 51-30.

White and Wes Wilkinson led five Huskers in double figures with 17 points each. Aleks Maric and Jason Dourisseau had 13 apiece and Richardson finished with 12 points.

Richard Roby, Colorado's leading scorer at 18 a game, didn't score in the first half. He torched Nebraska for 30 points in Colorado's 81-59 win over the Huskers in Boulder on Jan. 25. He finished with 7 on Wednesday night.

Chris Copeland led Colorado with 15. Andy Osborn had 14 for the Buffaloes, Martane Freeman added 11 and Jayson Obazuaye finished with 10.
