Chiulli and Pasciuto Provisionally Qualify For NCAA's

SOUTH BEND, Ind. ? The University of Colorado's Anthony Chiulli and Liza Pasciuto set provisionally qualifying marks on Saturday at the Alex Wilson Invitational on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.

Pasciuto took top honors in the 3,000-meters race with a time of 9:16.36. She just missed the automatic qualifying time of 9:16.00. The mark is a two second improvement from her previous personal best of 9:18.53, set on Feb. 12 at the University of Washington Open. It is the fastest time a Buff has run this season in the 3k and is the fourth fastest time in CU history.

Chiulli raced to a second-place finish in the mile run. The time of 4:03.16 was a personal record and is the third-best time for the Buffs this season. It ties the sixth-best finish for a CU runner in the mile in school history.

The Buffs will be back in action on March 10-11 at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., hosted by the University of Arkansas.
