BOULDER, Colo. - University of Colorado women's golf coach Anne Kelly has signed Stephanie Simich (Mississauga, Ont.) to a National Letter of Intent, Kelly announced Tuesday.  Simich represents the lone addition to the Buffaloes for the 2007-08 school year.

Simich will be CU's fourth Canadian on the roster, as she joins current sophomore Lindsay Caljouw and freshmen Julie Kim and Dominique Pytlewski on the Buffalo squad.

KELLY ON SIMICH - "Stephanie is a very talented golfer and an exciting player to watch.  She is young, just turning 17 last fall, and is just beginning to discover how good she can become.  Stephanie is a long hitter and will probably be one of the longest ball strikers in women's collegiate golf.  She has a strong work ethic which she has learned from her family - all of whom are talented athletes and hardworking people.  Stephanie has a warm, friendly outgoing personality that should help her make the adjustment into college and college golf pretty easily.  She is not afraid of new challenges and lofty goals in golf that both Brent and I look forward to helping her achieve.  Stephanie is eager to play with her new teammates and is excited about becoming a Buff in 2007!"
