WALNUT, Calif. ? The University of Colorado competed in the Mt. SAC Relays on Friday, April 13, where Kenyon Neuman, Jenny Barringer and Amberly Casey led the Buffs on the day with a first-place finish and a pair of runner-ups.

 

Barringer led the Colorado women in the 1,500 meter run, finishing in second place with a mark of 4:21.53, as Liza Pasciuto followed behind at 15th and a 4:27.25 mark. Both times were good enough to surpass the regional qualifying mark. Barringer's time made her the fifth fastest female in the 1500.

 

Kenyon Neuman took a second place finish in the men's 5,000 meter run with a time of 14:04.92, which was a regional qualifying mark. Bradley Harkrader took 20th in the race at 14:24.41, as Payton Batliner and Chris Pannone took 22nd and 27th respectively.

 

Amberly Casey took first in the long jump. In her first competition of the outdoor season, she recorded a leap of 19-07.50.

 

Billy Nelson finished the men's steeplechase with a time of 8:40.88, the eleventh best time in school history, to take fifth place. He also became the fifth fastest CU male in the steeplechase.

 

Results for the men's 800, 1500 and women's 5000-meter runs were not available at the time of this release.

 

The Buffs will be in action tomorrow, as they compete at the Sun Angel Invitational in Tempe, Arizona.
