Fasing Takes Second At USATF Nationals

at the USA Track and Field Championships at IU Michael A. Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium, IUPUI on June 22 to lead the group of participants for the University of Colorado.
Fasing recorded a person best toss of 216-06 for the runner-up position in his last throw of the day. Fasing's throw is the sixth best in school history and he becomes the third best performer in the event, in just his first year of throwing the javelin. Christopher Hill of McNeese State won the event with a throw of 226-09.
Hannah Warfield-Ruffatto was seventh in the women's javelin. She recorded a throw of 161-03 on her last throw to earn the mark. This was Warfield-Ruffatto's last meet in a senior jersey.
Billy Nelson just missed out advancing to the finals in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase by placing 15th overall with a time of 8:42.23. He came in eighth in his heat. The fastest mark in the prelims was set by former CU standout and CU steeplechase record holder Steve Slattery. He crossed the tape at 8:33.65.
Stephen Pifer placed 17th overall in the men's 1,500-meter run. Pifer was ninth in the second heat; finishing with a time of 3:41.83.
Former CU standout Adam Goucher qualified for the World Championships in
Jenny Barringer will compete in the finals of the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase finals tomorrow evening at 5:50 p.m. (EST). Barringer had the best overall time in the prelims held on June 21.
