KAPALUA, HAWAI'I - The University of Colorado women's golf team finsihed fourth in the Anuenue Spring Break Classic here Tuesday, but did manage to defeat No. 1 Stanford in the process.

No. 7 UCLA won the tournament at 12-under par with an 852 team score, as the Bruins were the only team to shoot under par over the three rounds on the 6,012-yard, par-72 Kapalua Bay Course.  No. 4 Arizona State (5-over) and No. 42 San Jose State (15-over) finished second and third, respectively, while the No. 33 Buffaloes had an 884 total (20-over par) with No. 1 Stanford rounding out the top five at 887 (plus-23).

"The team continued its great play with very fine ball striking this week," said head women's golf coach Anne Kelly. "The only difficulties that we faced were very grainy greens and windy conditions that were unusual for some of our players to face."

Esther Lee, the 25th-ranked individual in the nation, notched her third top-10 finish of the season with a ninth place effort with a 1-over 217 after carding a 1-over 73 in her final round.
