#NFLBuffs: Mason Crosby Gets Redemption

October 17, 2018 | Football

Weekly Spotlight

Mason Crosby played the role of hero in the Packers' thrilling 33-30 win over the 49ers, knocking in a 27-yard game-winning field goal as time expired. Just a week removed from a tough outing, Crosby bounced back with a perfect performance Monday night. He converted all four field goal tries, including a 51-yarder that he kicked into an intense Green Bay wind early in the second half, while going 3-of-3 on PATs. Crosby accounted for 15 of the Packers' 33 points on Monday, bringing his season total to 56, the sixth-most in the league. His career total now stands at 1,401, the most in Packers' history, and the seventh-most among all active NFL players.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Paul Richardson caught his second touchdown of the season in the Redskins' 23-17 win over the Panthers. On the day, Richardson brought in three of his five targets for 31 yards. His first catch of the game came in the back of the end zone for a 2-yard score that put the Redskins in front 14-0. He also hauled in a 21-yard reception on third-and-10 to keep a Redskins scoring drive alive.

Other Notable Performances

Safety Tedric Thompson made his second start for the Seahawks and played all 60 defensive snaps in a 27-3 win over the Raiders. He recorded three tackles and helped the Seahawks limit Oakland to just 185 yards total offense.

Phillip Lindsay picked up 18 yards on four carries and added 48 yards on six receptions in the Broncos' 23-20 loss to the Rams. He also returned two kickoffs for 48 yards, bringing him over the 100-yard all-purpose mark for the fifth time in six games this season.

Left tackle David Bakhtiari played all 71 offensive snaps in the Packers' 33-30 win over the 49ers.

Left tackle Nate Solder played all 65 offensive snaps in the Giants' 34-13 loss to the Eagles.

Defensive lineman Josh Tupou recorded one tackle in the Bengals' 28-21 loss to the Steelers.

Ross Update

Undrafted rookie wide receiver Devin Ross has been added to the Tennessee Titans practice squad. Ross opened the season on Tennessee's injured reserve list after turning heads in the preseason, when he hauled in six receptions for 80 yards over the first three preseason games.
