Kornieck, Baucom Earn All-Region Selections

The two Buffs pick up United Soccer Coaches honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Colorado soccer's Taylor Kornieck and Jorian Baucom continue to earn postseason accolades. The two Buffaloes were selected to the United Soccer Coaches Women's All-Pacific Region Teams.
The USC rewarded Kornieck with first-team honors, while Baucom picked a second-team selection.Â
Kornieck, a Henderson, Nev., native, finished second on the team with a career-best 28 points, despite missing four matches to injury. She scored nine goals in 16 starts, tallying two multi-goal games. She ranks 13th in the NCAA with a CU record 10 assists, averaging .63 assists per game (7th NCAA). Kornieck was also among the top offensive players in the nation this season, totaling school record 1.75 points per game (11th NCAA).
Kornieck, also a first-team All-Pac-12 selection, jumped up the all-time record lists at Colorado this season. She leads the Buffs with 1.20 points per game. Kornieck moved into second, averaging .45 goals per game and is fourth in points (72), fourth in goals (27) and third in assists (18).
Baucom, a senior from Scottsdale, Ariz., ranks fourth in the Pac-12 with a team-best 12 goals this season. She led the team with 30 points (33rd NCAA), recording the second-best point total in program history. Baucom became just the third player in program history to record 12 or more goals in a season, bringing her career total to 45. She started all 20 games in her lone season with the Buffs. The transfer from LSU totaled three multi-goal games and ranks fifth in the Pac-12 with .60 goals per game. She was also third on the team with six assists. Baucom was also a second-team All-Pac-12 honoree.Â
Colorado finished the season 13-4-3. CU set a school-record with a 16-game unbeaten streak to open the season. The Buffs also set records in goals (47), assists (50) and total points (146).
