Colorado Sending Seven to USA Tryouts

BOULDER – Colorado women's volleyball program is busy preparing for the upcoming 2020 spring volleyball schedule and 2020 USAVB tryouts, head coach Jesse Mahoney announced earlier this week.

The team will compete in five in-state matches, starting March 15^th at the University of Denver at 2:30 p.m. The team will also travel to CSU April 11^th at 1 p.m. and Northern Colorado April 24^th at 6 p.m. Colorado hosts both Denver and Air Force April 18^th with matches beginning at 10:30 a.m.

In addition to the spring schedule, the Buffs are prepping seven individuals to compete in a three-day tryout for USA Volleyball in Colorado Springs at the Olympic Training Center. Jenna Ewert and Leah Clayton will make their second-straight appearance for Colorado at the tryouts, while Brynna DeLuzio (also second appearance), Sterling Parker, Jill Schneggenburger, Elissa Alcantara and Meegan Hart.

The tryouts will begin February 21 and run through the 23^rd. Last year both Rachel Whipple and Leah Clayton made it onto USAVB Collegiate Teams in Anaheim after competing against nearly 300 collegiate student-athletes.
