Buffs Spread Throughout Country

BOULDER – Colorado track and field will be competing in three different time zones this weekend starting Thursday at the Glenn Morris Multi at CSU and concluding with action Friday and Saturday at CSU, LSU and Oregon.
 
The sprints and hurdle crew will head to LSU to while the distance squad will send eight distance athletes to Oregon. The majority of the athletes will compete at CSU in the Glenn Morris Multi Thursday and Friday followed by the Jack Christiansen Invite Saturday. The meet Saturday at Oregon will also be accompanied by the USATF Grand Prix at Oregon Relays, but those entries have not been announced.
 
The sprinters and hurdlers heading to LSU consist of Tamia Badal, Jaida Drame, Abbey Glynn, Eriana Henderson, Reese Renz and Valerie Welch for the women. All of the women are entered either an open 400 or 400 hurdle, and they will run a 4x4 as well. The men's crew is Chris Craig, Ian Gilmore, Kellen Monestime, Garrett Nelson, Ronald Sayles, Kendal Smith and Tyler Williams. Like the women, most are in a form of a 400 except Craig who will run the two shorter sprints. The men are also running a 4x4.
 
The distance crew consists of Jonathon Horton, Josh Ramos and Eduardo Herrera for the men in the 800, though Herrera is also entered in the 1,500. Ethan Powell and Ryan Robinson will run the 5,000. Rachel McArthur, Micaela Degenero and Madie Boreman are all entered in the 800 and 1,500 while Boreman is also entered in the steeplechase.
 
Starting out the week in the multi will be Avery McMullen, Jada Green, Kara Lucyk, Elise Gillett and Kylee Harr in the heptathlon while Wyatt Rhoads will be the lone competitor in the men's decathlon. The Buffs will also compete everyone in the jumps and throws while a dozen or so men and women will be in distance events ranging from the 800 to the steeplechase.
 
 
Colorado finishes out the month with a meet at Fresno State on April 30th.
