Lauren Whyrick recorded first place finish
Golden, Colo. — A small group from Colorado participated in the Mines Winter Classic and Multis at Steinhauer Field House in Golden, Colo. Fiday night.
Lauren Whyrick secured her first victory of the season in the shot put, achieving a throw of 13.97m, while Meghan Whyrick claimed fifth place. This marked the conclusion of the evening for the women's team.
On the men's side, Lucas Williams achieved a personal best with a throw of 14.97m, securing a fourth-place finish and a season best. Lars Atkinson and Isaiah Brouchard finished in seventh and ninth places, respectively. In the long jump, Nick Bianco achieved a personal best with a distance of 7.16m, securing a ninth-place finish.
The Buffaloes will wrap up day two of the Winter Classic and Multi on Saturday, Jan. 27.
