Track and Field set to Open Indoor Season

BOULDER – The University of Colorado track and field programs will open the 2024-25 campaign at the Mines Alumni Classic in Golden, Colorado, while the distance squad will send three athletes to the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston.
The Buffs will have 20 athletes from the sprints, hurdles, multi-events, and throws squads competing in 37 events in Golden. The entries include:

- John Bass – Men's High Jump, Men's 60m Hurdles, Men's Long Jump
- Nick Bianco – Men's 60m Hurdles, Men's Long Jump, Men's High Jump
- Noah Bouchard – Men's High Jump
- Riley Burkey – Women's 60m Hurdles, Women's High Jump, Women's Long Jump
- Aidan Christiansen – Men's Long Jump
- Ava Goetz – Women's 60m Hurdles, Women's High Jump, Women's Long Jump
- Johnny Homsy – Men's 60 Meters
- Marco Martinez – Men's High Jump, Men's Long Jump, Men's 60m Hurdles
- Jackson Meyer – Men's Long Jump
- Drake Miller – Men's High Jump, Men's Long Jump, Men's 60m Hurdles
- Ames Newman – Men's Shot Put, Men's Weight Throw
- Amanda Opp – Women's Shot Put, Women's Weight Throw
- Elena Opp – Women's Shot Put
- Cayden Roberson – Men's 60m Hurdles
- John Swabik – Men's High Jump
- Cydnee Taylor – Women's 60 Meters
- Cade Vanhout – Men's 60 Meters
- Riley Ward – Women's High Jump
- Lucas Williams– Men's Weight Throw, Men's Shot Put
Meanwhile, Chris Cherry, Ethan Edgeworth, and Jessica Score will represent Colorado at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.

The Buffs' sprint, hurdle, multi-event, and throw squads will compete again next week before a holiday break. Colorado will kick off 2025 with five meets in January, including hosting three indoor meets for the first time in program history:
- Jan. 10-11 – Potts Invitational
- Jan. 17-18 – Colorado Classic
- Jan. 31 – Feb. 1 – Colorado Invitational
The distance squad will travel to Boston twice (Jan. 31 and Feb. 14) and to Notre Dame (Feb. 22). The Big 12 Indoor Championships will take place Feb. 27-March 1 on the campus of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
