Track & Field Wraps Up Four-Day Meet at Mt. SAC

WALNUT, Calif. — Colorado's track and field program ended the 64th annual Mt. SAC relays with a strong finish, securing victory in the women's 4x400 relay.

Joy Moorer, Emma Pollak, Avery McMullen, and Abbey Glynn clinched first place in the 4x400, completing the race in 3:33.76. This time puts them in 12th position, potentially qualifying the team for the NCAA West Region. The top 24 4x400 teams in each region advance to the NCAAs.

In the women's hammer throw, Bella Braun achieved a personal best of 55.02m, securing an 11th-place finish. Amanda Opp placed 14th with a throw of 54.02m.

Pollak set a personal record of 58.99 to claim fourth in the 400-meter hurdles, while Moorer finished 22nd with a time of 1:02.15.

Glynn secured second place in the 400-meter run with a time of 56.41.

Despite a challenging day in the hammer throw, Matt Ward placed 14th. Laurence Atkinson and Isaiah Bouchard finished 20th and 31st, respectively.

On the men's side, the 4x400 team comprising Danny Tragarz, Ian Gilmore, Luke Dry, and Garrett Nelson clocked in at 3:10.05, earning an eighth-place finish and ranking 36th in the NCAA West Region.

The Buffs will resume competition next week across three meets in three different states: the Doug Maxx Invitational (Fort Collins, Colo.), Desert Heat Classic (Tucson, Ariz.), and Payton Jordan Invitational (Stanford, Calif.) on April 27.
