Colorado Splits Week at No. 22 Louisville and Versus Portland State

BOULDER – The Colorado women's basketball team (1-0, 0-0 Big 12) goes on its first road trip of the season to play No. 22/21 Louisville (1-1, 0-0 ACC) on Nov. 12, before returning home for a game against Portland State (0-1, 0-0 Big Sky) at the CU Events Center on Nov. 16. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. MT in Louisville, Ky., and 1 p.m. MT back in Boulder.
The Buffs take on their first ranked opponent of the season with Louisville and first Big Sky opponent with Portland State. CU has 70 wins against ranked teams as a program and a 61-19 record against Big Sky opponents.
CU hosted and defeated New Mexico in its home opener. After ending the first half up one point (33-32), the Buffs put on a clinic in the second half, blowing out the Lobos by over 20 points and scoring 33 in the third. The Black and Gold won the game, 84-59 (Nov. 6).

VIKING MENTALITY: CU meets Portland State for just the second time in program history, the last time being in 1982. The Buffs fell by just two points in Oregon, 57-55, on Dec. 20.
DOUBLE OR NOTHING: Sr. F Anaëlle Dutat notched the Buffs' first double-double of the season, seventh of her career, in CU's home opener win against New Mexico with 15 points and 13 rebounds (Nov. 6).
MILESTONE WATCH: Sr. F Jade Masogayo has 943 career points, making her way to 1,000, and 480 total rebounds, on approach to 500. R-Jr. G Maeve McErlane has 76 rebounds, 24 from 100. R-Jr. G Zyanna Walker has 273 rebounds, 27 away from 300, and 98 steals, two away from 100. R-Jr. G Desiree Wooten has 575 points, 25 away from 600.
MILESTONE CHECK: Sr. F Anaëlle Dutat reached 500 career points against New Mexico, now sitting at 507 (Nov. 6). Jr. G Claire O'Connor notched her 300th career point against New Mexico.

- CU is led by 10th-year head coach JR Payne, who has led the Buffs to a 165-116 (.587) record as CU's eighth head women's basketball coach. Coach Payne has been extended through the 2028 season and has led the Buffs to three NCAA appearances, two WNIT appearances and one WBIT appearance.
- In its second year back in the Big 12, Colorado was picked to finish ninth in the Big 12 Preseason Poll.
- The Buffs return three from last year's roster, including one starter, in Sr. F Jade Masogayo, R-So. G Kennedy Sanders and 5th C JoJo Nworie.
- Colorado welcomes 10 newcomers for the 2025-26 season, five transfers and five freshmen. The five transfers include R-Jr. G Zyanna Walker (Kansas State), R-Jr. G Desiree Wooten (North Texas), Jr. G Claire O'Connor (Gonzaga), R-Jr. G Maeve McErlane (DePaul) and Sr. F Anaëlle Dutat (Rhode Island). The five freshmen include G Erianna Gooden, C Jade Crook, G Isa Hämäläinen, F Logyn Greer and F Sophie Zadel.
- Sr. F Anaëlle Dutat recorded the Buffs first double-double of the season against New Mexico with 15 points and 13 rebounds (Nov. 6). AD also managed an assist, four steals and two blocks.
- Four Buffs appeared in their collegiate debuts, all freshmen: F Logyn Greer, F Sophie Zadel, G Erianna Gooden and C Jade Crook. Greer totaled four points and an assist; Zadel had five rebounds and an assist; Gooden had 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal; and Crook had 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal (Nov. 6).
- Against New Mexico, R-Jr. G Desiree Wooten had 13 points, two rebounds, three assists and three steals for the Buffs. Jr. G Claire O'Connor had 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal.
- As a team versus the Lobos, the Buffs totaled 48 rebounds (32 defensive), 17 assists and 15 steals. The Buffs had 27 points off turnovers, 50 points in the paint, 24 fast break points, 17 second chance points and 38 points off the bench. CU shot 45.3% overall on the night (Nov. 6).
