Zyanna Walker vs Louisville

Buffs Fall to No. 22 Louisville

November 12, 2025 | Women's Basketball

Redshirt junior guard Zyanna Walker and freshman forward Logyn Greer score career-high points

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Colorado women's basketball (1-1, 0-0 Big 12) fell to No. 22 Louisville (2-1, 0-0 ACC) in the Buffs' first road game, 74-68, at KFC Yum! Center on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

The Buffaloes played a close game against the Cardinals and led throughout the majority of the first three quarters. Louisville made a comeback in the fourth quarter, allowing them to win the game, 74-68.

"I'm really proud of a lot of things that we did tonight," head coach JR Payne said. "Obviously disappointed with the outcome, but really tough environment, and a lot of young people – or young to the floor – contributed really well. Some layups and free throws might have made a difference, but lots of things to build on in an early season."

Colorado out-rebounded (46-34) and out-assisted (13-11) the Cardinals. The Buffs had a higher three-point percentage (40.0%-25.0%), more points in the paint (36-30), and more second-chance points (12-6).
