Buffs Set For Big 12 Championship

April 14, 2025 | Women's Golf

BOULDER - Colorado women's golf makes its return to the Big 12 Championship, April 15-17, at the Houston Oaks Country Club in Hockley Texas.

The Buffaloes, original members of the league's first 15 seasons, arrive back at the Big 12 Championship for the first time since 2011 after 13 years competing in the Pac-12 Conference. The par 71 Houston Oaks Country Club will play at 6,249 yards with three rounds of 18 holes each day.

The Big 12 features 10 teams ranked in the top 37 in the country, led by No. 8 Arizona State, the Championship's top seed. Colorado, No. 63 in the latest Clippd national rankings is the 13th seed in the 14-team Big 12 Championship field (Utah and West Virginia don't sponsor women's golf).

Colorado's lineup for the Big 12 Championship, in seed order, will be Sydney Givens, Maria Eidhagen Harrouch, Morgan Miller, Vanessa Ngo and Francesca Sumcad.

The Buffaloes' top four seeds have been remarkably even throughout the spring season separated by a mere 0.21 in stroke average through five events and only by nine strokes in relation to par. Givens, Colorado's overall stroke average leader (73.31), is shooting 74.29 during the spring season followed closely by Miller (74.33), Eidhagen Harrouch (74.47) and Ngo (74.50).

All four have been Colorado's low 54-hole scorer at some point this season and have at least one top 10 finish under their belts. Givens, with a team-best five top 20 finishes, led the Buffaloes in two fall events. She holds the team's low-54 tournament this season at 5-under, 211, at Denver University's Ron Moore Intercollegiate in October. Eidhagen Harrouch has led the Buffaloes four times with four top 20 finishes.

Miller and Ngo have both led the Buffaloes twice, including sharing low-54 honors at the Chevron Silverado Showdown, tying for 11th overall at even-par, 216. It was the fourth top 20 finish of the season for Miller and second for Ngo.

Sumcad has averaged 72.40 in the two spring events she has competed in (total of five rounds). Playing as an individual, she won the 36-hole Southern Colorado Open on March 24 at 4-under-par. She then joined the regular lineup for the Chevron Silverado Showdown, tying for 36th overall at 6-over.

Colorado will pair with 14th seed Cincinnati in Tuesday's first round with those groups beginning off the No. 1 tee at 8:40 a.m. MT.

Thursday's final round will be streamed live on ESPN+ from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. MT with Tony Simeone and Suzy Whaley on the call. Live scoring for the Championship is available at https://scoreboard.clippd.com/tournaments/233987/scoring/team.
