Update on Community Tennis Facility Project
September 12, 2025 | Tennis
An update from CU Athletics and the City of Boulder on the proposed tennis facility at East Boulder Community Park:
Following rigorous analysis required to annex and develop the expanded East Boulder Community Park, we have determined that this site does not meet our needs for a successful indoor tennis facility. We share the disappointment of the Boulder tennis community that this particular project did not come to fruition but due to multiple factors that became evident only after close examination of the site, it was clear that we had to begin seeking an alternative.
CU Athletics and the City of Boulder remain committed to continuing to work together to identify a long-term solution that meets the growing needs of the University of Colorado women's tennis team and those of the Boulder Community. We understand there has been significant interest in this project, and we will continue to provide updates as we can.
