Buffaloes Conclude Day One of Potts Invitational

BOULDER — The University of Colorado track and field program opened competition Friday, hosting day one of the Potts Invitational inside the Ford Practice Facility.
Three Buffaloes competed on the opening day: Amanda Opp and Lucas Williams in the weight throw and Alaina Fantaski in the shot put.
Williams led all collegiate competitors in the weight throw, recording a mark of 19.45 meters (63 feet, 9.75 inches). The performance moved him into third place on Colorado's all time weight throw performance list.
Opp posted a season best throw of 16.69 meters in the weight throw, while Fantaski made her collegiate debut in the shot put, recording a throw of 7.42 meters.
Four facility records were broken during Friday's competition.
