Several Buffs Impress As CU Annual Pro Day
March 31, 2026 | Football
BOULDER— Nineteen former Colorado Buffaloes returned to the Ford Practice Facility Tuesday morning, showcasing their skills in front of scouts from 26 professional teams during Colorado's 2026 Pro Day.
The day opened with the bench press, where Anquin Barnes Jr. posted 27 reps and Xavier Hill added 26, marks that would have ranked fifth and sixth, respectively, at the 2026 NFL Combine.
In the vertical jump, Kaidon Salter led the way with a 35.5-inch leap, while Ivan Yates and Sincere Brown each recorded 33.5 inches. Salter continued his strong showing in the broad jump with a mark of 10-feet, 6-inches, followed by Yates at 10-feet, 3-inches. Tristan Marois, Sincere Brown and Preston Hodge each reached the 10-foot mark, as well.
The 40-yard dash highlighted the day, as Sincere Brown turned in a 4.38, a time that would rank among the top 20 overall at the 2026 NFL Combine and 11th among wide receivers. Hodge (4.56), Salter (4.63) and Keaten Wade (4.64) also delivered solid performances.
Salter was one of the most complete performers of the day, excelling across multiple drills before closing with a strong throwing session. He worked through a full route tree, connecting on deep balls over 40 yards, as well as hitches, outs and crossing routes, completing all but five attempts.
"I feel like I did pretty good, kind of tested where I was during training," Salter said. "We had receivers running full routes, and even guys I hadn't thrown to much, we were still able to connect and make each other look good."
Wade also reflected on his performance with a critical but confident outlook.
"I thought it was a pretty good day," Wade said. "There's always room to improve, but I felt like I gave it my all and my best effort out here."
For Jeremiah Brown, the day marked the culmination of a long journey that began before his time in Boulder.
"It's been a long journey, but a happy one," Brown said. "I left it all on the line today, and the rest is up to God. I know I gave it everything I had."
The NFL Draft takes place April 23-25, in Pittsburgh.
