COLLEGE--2005: For the second consecutive season, Chiulli ran in three races. He finished in the top-30 in each of those races. Chiulli opened the season at the Rocky Mountain Shootout, finishing 25th. In the Pre-Nationals Open race, he finished 28th overall and at the Big 12 Championships, he earned his best time of the season (24:57) by finishing 30th overall and eighth on the team. 2004: Chiulli ran in three races , scoring in both the Tiger and Air Force Invitationals with a career-best finish in the latter. 2003: Redshirt. Did not compete. HIGH SCHOOL: A three-sport athlete (track, cross country, basketball) at Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, Tenn., Chiulli graduated with school records in the 800-meter (1:52.7) and mile (4:14), both as team captain in his senior campaign. As a junior, he won the state cross country championships (15:52), earning first-team all-state honors, while being named Runner of the Year (Commercial Appeal) and West Tennessee’s Runner of the Year. As a senior, Chiulli was a first team all-state track honoree, regional champion in the mile, 800-m and cross country, as well as Commercial Appeal’s Runner of the Year. Chiullie chose CU over Alabama, Mississippi State and North Carolina State. IN THE CLASSROOM: Chiulli carries better than a 3.0 GPA in management. He is a two-time member of the Academic All-Big 12 Second Team and has been named to the Commissioner’s Honor Roll all six semesters. PERSONAL: Anthony Joseph Chiulli was born April 4, 1985 to parents Brian and Susan Chiulli in Carrolton, Ga. His father did not miss a single race during his high school track career. His hobbies include mountain biking and going on tours with bands like Phish and Widespread Panic.
