Bio
2017: Dunne raced three times for the Buffs as a redshirt freshman. In his debut, he finished 29th overall at the Colorado State Invitational. Dunne improved to 11th place at the Rocky Mountain Shootout, finishing as CU’s fourth harrier. He was 67th in his final meet of the season, the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL: Dunne was named the San Clemente High School Triton of the Year as a junior and senior. He owns school records in the 800 (1:50.41) and 1,600 (4:03.18) and ran the fastest three-mile time in school history on the cross country course (14:45). Dunne won the mile run at the Azusa Pacific Meet of Champions, finishing in 4:04. His main event was the 800, finishing second at the CIF-SS Division 1 Finals. He won the CIF-SS Masters Meet with a career best 1:50.41. Dunne was third in the 800 at the CIF California State Championship prelims and placed seventh in the finals. He went on to race at the Brooks PR Invitational, finishing fifth. As a junior, he finished 10th at the state championships (800) after placing third in the prelims. Dunne was also part of Team USA at the World Youth Championships in 2015, competing in the 800. Dunne lettered in both cross country and track and field at SCHS.

PERSONAL: Connor Richard Dunne was born on May 26, 1998 in Mission Viejo, Calif. He is the son of Michael and Carrol Dunne of San Clemente, Calif. Dunne’s older sister, Alex, ran track and cross country at Stanford. He enjoys running and fishing. Dunne is an avid spear fisherman and free diver and can hold his breath for over three minutes.
