Bruce Jones is in his first year on the University of Colorado staff as a football recruiting intern, joining the staff on August 1, 2017.
Jones, 25, came to CU from Lubbock, Texas, where he had worked two years as the general sales manager for the Reagor Dykes Auto Group. He remained in the city after he graduated from Texas Tech University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Human Science.
He lettered at cornerback two seasons for Texas Tech under Kliff Kingsbury, recording 50 tackles (41 solo) with a team-high 10 passes broken up as a senior in 2013. He had 31 tackles (27 solo) and seven pass deflections as a junior, after he transferred to Tech from Riverside Community College. He appeared in 26 games for the Red Raiders, starting 19, and was on two bowl champion teams, as TTU defeated Minnesota in the Meineke Car Care Bowl and upset Arizona State in the Holiday Bowl.
He was born on August 5, 1992 in Inglewood, Calif., and graduated from Eleanor Roosevelt High School (Eastvale, Calif.), where he lettered in football. His hobbies include snowboarding, soccer and playing FIFA.
