WHAT SPARKED YOUR INTEREST IN THE RALPHIE PROGRAM?
My interest in the Ralphie program was sparked after attending my first CU football game. I was amazed to see the entire crowd stand and cheer as Ralphie and her handlers rushed onto the field. The sense of unity this created in the stands and on the field made me interested in becoming a part of this tradition.
WHAT DOES RALPHIE MEAN TO YOU?
Ralphie represents the University of Colorado and Buff Pride. Ralphie and her handlers are symbolic of tradition, pride, and dignity at the University of Colorado.
WHAT'S THE HARDEST PART OF BEING A RALPHIE HANDLER?
The most difficult part of being a Ralphie Handler is the time commitment of being a student athlete. Practices, workouts, and ranch days are very timely but it’s this commitment that allows us to be part of such an amazing and unique tradition.
WHAT'S THE BEST PART OF BEING A RALPHIE HANDLER?
The best part of being a Ralphie Handler is being able to see the happiness and excitement Ralphie brings to her fans. Being a Ralphie Handler allows us to represent the University of Colorado to the best of our abilities.
WHAT'S ONE THING THAT SURPRISES PEOPLE THE MOST WHEN THEY ASK YOU ABOUT BEING A RALPHIE HANDLER?
When people ask about being a Ralphie Handler what surprised them most is the amount of work and time that goes preparing to run with Ralphie. Lots of time is required to make sure that the handlers are in shape and that Ralphie is happy, healthy, and well cared for.
WHAT'S ONE THING ABOUT RALPHIE THAT SURPRISED YOU THE MOST AFTER BECOMING A RALPHIE HANDLER?
After becoming a Ralphie handler I was surprised to learn about Ralphie’s personality and character. Ralphie is very smart and easily recognizes people who are familiar to her.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?
My hobbies are baking, hiking, horseback riding, and spending time with friends and family.
