WHAT SPARKED YOUR INTEREST IN THE RALPHIE PROGRAM?
When I first came to visit boulder I went to see a football game with my friend who already attended CU and saw Ralphie run. When I saw a live buffalo ran across the field I was set on the fact that if I did end up attending CU I was going to tryout no matter what.
WHAT DOES RALPHIE MEAN TO YOU?
Ralphie is the best mascot hands down. She is a powerful part of our culture at CU and to be part of her team makes me proud to be a Buff.
WHAT'S THE HARDEST PART OF BEING A RALPHIE HANDLER?
The hardest part would be balancing, excelling in school, staying in amazing shape and sleeping and still
having time for enjoying the benefits of living in Boulder.
WHAT'S THE BEST PART OF BEING A RALPHIE HANDLER?
Being able to continue the tradition and keeping the culture of us truly being buffalos at CU. Also being
introduced by my friends and family as a kid who runs with buffalos is a very entertaining way to start a
conversation.
WHAT'S ONE THING THAT SURPRISES PEOPLE THE MOST WHEN THEY ASK YOU ABOUT BEING A
RALPHIE HANDLER?
About how the team works and just informing people about Ralphie, being her size, speed, and ability to jump, and the history of our program.
WHAT'S ONE THING ABOUT RALPHIE THAT SURPRISED YOU THE MOST AFTER BECOMING A
RALPHIE HANDLER?
Her sheer size and presence. On our first ranch day as rookies I was in shock just standing next this amazing animal. Seeing her interact with the team is also a very unique experience. Where else are you gonna be friends with a buffalo?
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?
My hobbies are Fly Fishing, Lacrosse, Surfing, Skiing, going to the beach and hanging out with friends.
