What sparked your interest in the Ralphie program?
The idea of running side by side with a buffalo and being apart of the greatest tradition in college sports is what sparked my interest in becoming a Ralphie Handler.
What does Ralphie mean to you?
To me, Ralphie is the face of CU. She represents the school as a whole and is a symbol of strength, tradition, and community. Ralphie brings the students and fans of CU together and she is also the center of community for the Ralphie Handler Team.
What's the hardest part of being a Ralphie Handler?
The hardest part about being a Ralphie Handler is managing my time with being a Ralphie Handler, a full time student, and an AFROTC cadet.
What's the best part of being a Ralphie Handler?
The best part about being a Ralphie Handler is getting to work with Ralphie and everyone on the Ralphie Team. There is absolutely nothing like running side by side next to a buffalo with your buddies in-front of a stadium full of fans screaming as you take the field before a football game.
What's one thing that surprises people the most when they ask you about being a Ralphie Handler?
The most surprising thing to people is how often we practice and the amount of hours we put in per week. People are also surprised by how fast Ralphie runs.
What's one thing about Ralphie that surprised you the most after becoming a Ralphie Handler?
What surprised me the most is how intelligent Ralphie is. Ralphie recognizes everyone on the team and is capable of reading the slightest body signals that you give off and she will respond accordingly.
What are your hobbies?
Skiing, fly fishing, biking, climbing, traveling, and anything that involves the outdoors.
