High School? Czesnowski skied for Green Mountain from 1999-2003. She also played soccer (left mid) and advanced to the Vermont state semifinals in 2002 and lacrosse (midfield).
Other? In addition to skiing for Green Mountain from 1999-2003, Czesnowski skied for the Killington (Vt.) Mountain School from 1997-98, and the Eastern and Vara Cup Teams from 2003-04. In 1998 she was the J 3 Junior Olympic GS champion and skied for the Whistler Cup Team that same year. During the 2003 season she finished fourth in the Eastern Cup standings, fifth in the Eastern Cup giant slalom final and 20th in the U.S. National slalom.
Academics? An honor roll and Headmaster’s List student at Green Mountain, Czesnowski is an open option major at Colorado and would possibly like to pursue a business career after college.
Personal? Julie Michelle Czesnowski (pronounced chez-now-ski) was born April 26, 1984 in Bridgeport, Conn. Her parents are Michael and Mary Jane Czesnowski. She is the youngest of three children. Her older brother Michael is a senior at Hartford and her sister, Kathryn, skied for Stratton Mountain School and the University of New Hampshire. Her hobbies include playing soccer, mountain biking, swimming, hiking, running and art. The last two springs she has traveled to Jamaica to mentor, teach, farm and teach sports as well as new cultures to boys at an orphanage/detention center. Wanting a change after living on the east coast her entire life factored in on her decision to ski at Colorado.
