2020-2021 (Junior): Played in all 17 matches for Colorado ... Led the team with a 12-5 individual record including a 6-1 mark in the No.4 position ... Went 5-13 in doubles play ... Defeated No.26-ranked Valentina Ivanov in straight sets to give CU a much needed advantage in the upset of No.12 Cal ... Also won in Pac-12 play against individuals from Washington State, Arizona and Utah.
2019-2020 (Sophomore): Forster sat out all but the last tournament of the fall season recovering from injury ... Picked up two wins in the Rebel Invite before withdrawing from the competition ... Finished the season with a 7-7 singles record that included a 5-7 dual record ... Only competed once in doubles with a record of 0-1.
2018-2019 (Freshman): Finishing her overall singles record 16-12, Megan slotted in at No.4 for singles and No.2 for doubles ... She picked up a point against No.19-ranked Syracuse in singles play ... Along with Sara Nayar, they clinched doubles point against Washington State, No.48-ranked Utah, and Oregon.
HIGH SCHOOL: Forster graduated from Claire’s Court Sixth Form College in 2018. She was awarded the Physical Education Ambassador during her final year of school and also competed in swimming, earning medals in the front crawl, breaststroke and butterfly.
CLUB TENNIS: Forster played at Cumberland Club in London in 2017 and 2018. She was the British national doubles champion for U-18 in 2017 and won the British Tour Taunton in Oct. 2017. She was one of four women to help the Cumberland Club Team finish second at the National Club League tournament, playing in the No. 2 singles position. Forster was a two-time winner of the Manning Davonport Award.
IN THE CLASSROOM: She intends on majoring in sports management and would like to understand the business side of sport.
PERSONAL: Megan Forster was born on Feb. 27, 2000, in Maidenhead, Berkshire, England. She is the daughter of Jackie and Steve. Her father owns a mechanical and electrical services company and her mother is a housewife. She is an only child. After graduation, she would like to become a professional tennis player. In her free time, Forster enjoys catching up with friends, swimming and watching Netflix. She is also a soccer player and is known for her 100-plus kick-ups with a soccer ball.
CHOOSING CU: Forster chose CU because it was one of the her last schools to visit and she felt it was the right place as soon as she stepped on campus. “With such amazing facilities and a beautiful campus, it made my decision a fairly easy one and I am looking forward to training and competing with a team from all different nationalities.” She picked CU over Iowa, Denver and Saint Mary’s.
