BOULDER - University of Colorado women's tennis student-athlete Lynzee Kever was named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Central Region Rookie of the Year, announced this week. Kever was one of eight student-athletes recognized throughout the country as rookie of the year.


Kever, a freshman from Oklahoma City, Okla., started her initial season with the Buffaloes when spring play began in January and posted a 12-9 record. Eleven of her wins were at the No. 1 singles slot. 

 
Kever began her freshman season winning seven of her first nine matches and was ranked by the ITA as high as 64th during mid-March. In doubles, Kever recorded a 13-8 record with three different tennis partners, winning eight matches at No. 2 and posting a 5-1 mark at No. 3.
