Wetmore Named NCAA Mountain Region Coach of the Year

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - University of Colorado head cross country Mark Wetmore was named the NCAA Mountain Region Men's and Women's Coach of the Year presented here Saturday night at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships Banquet.
Wetmore's coach of the year honors are the 11th and 12th, respectively, as he has been the men's region coach of the year on eight occasions, and women's coach of the year four times. The Colorado men and women swept the NCAA Mountain Region titles last weekend in Albuquerque, N.M. It was the men's 13th win in the qualifying race in 15 seasons and the women's sixth in 13.
The NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships will be run Monday, Nov. 20, on the LaVern-Gibson Cross Country Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center. CU's men's team is ranked second and will race at 12 p.m., while the women are rated sixth heading into the race and will race at 1:15 p.m.
