Tennis Drops Pair in Virginia

The pair of losses drops the Buffaloes to 1-6 on the season.
On Saturday, the Tribe (7-3) rolled to victory winning all six singles matches in straight sets and clinched the doubles point sweeping all three matches.
In Sunday's play, CU dropped the doubles point falling in two of the three matches. In singles, the Lady Monarchs (5-3) secured victory taking three of the afternoon's six singles matches to win their fifth match in eight outings this spring.
Picking up victories for the Buffs were Monica Milewski, Veera Nurmi and Franziska Jendrian. All three triumphed in straight sets at the No. 1, No. 5 and No. 6 slots, respectively. Milewski won her fourth match of the spring; Nurmi her third, while Jendrian also achieved her fourth victory of the dual season.
Overall, Nurmi won her 62nd career singles match with Milewski and Jendrian each picking up their 49th win of their career.
The Buffaloes are idle until Feb. 29 when they travel to No. 39 Arizona.
